Last updated: 2026-10-09. This policy covers the Google Play version of FauxClockNG, package com.faux123.fauxclockng.
FauxClockNG changes kernel settings on your rooted device. It has no account, no ads, and no analytics. It contacts the developer's server only for the reasons listed below.
The app sends this to the licence server at kep.canonspike.com, which the developer operates:
pro_unlock.The server asks Google whether the purchase is real and returns a signed licence token. The app later sends that token and the device hash to the same server to refresh it. This data is used only to confirm your purchase and tie it to your device. If you never buy Pro, none of it is sent.
Benchmark sharing is off until you turn it on in settings. When it is on, the app sends: your device model, Android version number, kernel version, CPU governor, I/O scheduler, charge limit percentage, whether KSM is on, the TCP congestion control setting, 7-day figures for battery drain, peak temperature, and throttle events, and a timestamp. The upload carries a random ID that the app generates. It is not linked to your name or to an account. Turning sharing off asks the server to delete what you uploaded.
After a crash, the app asks on the next launch whether to send a report. The report holds the error and stack trace, app version, device model and maker, Android version, CPU architecture, and thread name. If you choose Submit, the app opens a pre-filled GitHub issue in your browser, and the report is sent only if you submit that issue on GitHub. GitHub's terms apply to that issue. If you choose Discard, the app deletes the report.
If you type a web address on the kernel flashing screen, the app fetches that address. The request goes to the site you typed, not to the developer. It carries the app version, Android version number, and device codename, and nothing else about you.
The app does not send your name, email, location, contacts, files, the list of apps you have installed, or the name of the app you are using. It does not use an advertising ID. It contains no advertising or analytics code.
Your saved profiles, settings, kernel backups, and statistics (CPU, temperature, and battery readings) stay on your device. If you grant Usage access, the app reads which app is in the foreground so that it can apply the profile you set for that app. That reading never leaves the device.
Google Play handles your payment, and the developer never sees your card details. The app also asks Google Play services for the current time (to check the licence) and requests a Play Integrity token at launch. Google's privacy policy covers those requests.
FauxClockNG is a tool for adults who maintain their own rooted devices. It is not directed at children.
